I was asked by Re:Ply to contribute a design for their forthcoming exhibition to raise funds to send recycled boards to the charity SkatePal in Palestine. SkatePal is a non-pro t organisation that works with communities throughout Palestine to enhance the lives of young people and promote the benefits of skateboarding. www.skatepal.co.uk
The exhibition took place at Bar Gandolfi, Glasgow from 5 January 2018
For the last 10 years or so I’ve had a framed print on my wall from the Bauhaus Archive in Berlin which displays the word ‘experiment’ in large playful lettering. It’s become something of a motto and a reminder of how privileged I am. In my life I’ve had an enormous amount of support from different communities – family, friends, teachers and colleagues. They have allowed me the freedom to explore who I am and to continue to experiment as an artist and I am incredibly grateful.
